Located in the CBD of Singapore, on 30 Raffles Place, is where the 33-storey (excluding its 3-level basement) Chevron House (the old Caltex House) stands. It stands in the company of other prominent landmarks, including Hitachi Tower, Singapore Land Tower, The Arcade and Change Alley, all of which are within 100 metres (110 yd) from the building. It houses the international HQ of Caltex, and shares a 4-level podium with one of its neighbors, Hitachi Tower.
Designed as a joint project by architect firms Architects 61 and Murphy/Jahn, Inc. Architects, and completed in 1993, the building stands 152.0 metres (498.7 ft) above ground-level, and offers a convenient underground link to Raffles Place MRT Station.
