Located in Raffles Place, Singapore is 23-storey tall, 153 M (502 Ft.) high One George Street ( 乔治街一号) which offers A-class office space. Facing Hong Lim Park, the building now occupies the site where formerly stood the Pidemco Centre.
This 2 vertical sectioned structure was completed in 2005, with the 11th floor occupied by the office of the Canadian High commissioner to Singapore. Other prominent tenants of One George Street include Wong Partnership, Lloyds of London, Fitness First and a German insurance corporation known as ERGO who are also joint-owners of the property.
The large floor plates of the building provide for a design that offers future flexibility when it comes to accommodating modifications to the design. Each of the 5th, 12th, 15th and 22nd floors at One George Street contain sky-gardens that cater to GFA incentives from the Urban Redevelopment Authority and demonstrate well the concept of retaining extended green spaces even within concrete and steel structures.
